Behavioral interviewing is a technique employed by interviewers to evaluate your past behavior in order to predict your future behavior in a particular employment-related situation. The technique is based on the premise that a person’s past performance on the job is the best predictor of the future performance. In this type of interview, it is important for you to be able to give specific “real life” examples of how you behaved in situations relating to the questions.

Rather than just gathering information about you, the interviewer wants to know how you handled a situation. Behavioral interview questions will be more focused than a traditional approach.
