Motivated M.Sc. student sought for a unique opportunity in the Department of Geography at Western University to conduct inter-disciplinary research as part of an inter-university collaboration to identify indicators and sampling protocols for use in a regional-scale monitoring framework in the Grand River Watershed, Ontario, Canada. Student project will be focused on the development of assessment tools for stream ecosystem assessments using benthic macroinvertebrates. Student responsibilities will include researching, developing and evaluating assessment tools, as well as analyzing and reporting research outcomes. Applicants are expected to have a strong interest in ecosystem and aquatic ecology and a desire to apply this knowledge to environmentally-based problems. Willingness and ability to work as part of a team is a must. The successful candidate will be based at Western University in London, Ontario.
